Read how God has led Lisa to this point in her life.

Intro

Lisa is a Christian Recording Artist . After singing "Via Dolorosa" for an Easter Pageant one year in college, someone came to her a few weeks later and told her that the message of that song had led to their conversion.  After that Lisa knew that God could use her as an instrument for His work. Her aim is to inspire those who don't already know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to give hope and encouragement to all.

Background

Lisa can't remember a time when music wasn't a big part of her life.  At the young age of 21/2 years, Lisa was singing. By this age she could sing "Jesus Loves Me" and knew all the words to "Edelweiss" by heart. (She learned it to sing with her family in a talent show). Her father was a minister and Lisa sang frequently for meetings and church events. At about age 11,  Lisa's parents  began to realize that she truly had a gift and they began to really encourage her to use her voice.

Lisa continued to be involved in choirs and touring choral groups in High School and College. She attended Union college in Lincoln, Nebraska and received her Bachelor of Nursing Degree. It was there that she met her husband, Drew. They stood beside each other in the select choir. 

After college, Lisa continued to sing for campmeetings, women's retreats and churches both by herself and with a group "Highest Call". Highest Call is a trio that started in 1996 with Lisa, Lois Serns , and Melody Rockufeler (and their husbands). They usually did 3-4 concerts a year until Lois (who was their minister's wife) moved to Washington state the end of 1999. The group does reunite occasionally.  In June of 2000 Highest Call had a concert in Bismarck, ND for a campmeeting. 

Drew & Lisa live in Shawnee, Kansas with their 2 boys Drew II and Daniel. Lisa worked as a registered nurse for 5 years, but has been at home full-time taking care of her two boys since 2001.   Both boys are in school now, so Lisa is helping her husband grow his business Holiday Technologies  Click the links to see what's going on in their lives.

Current Events and Projects

Lisa  released a CD "In Praise Of You Lord" in August 2001. This project consists mainly of Inspirational music, but she threw in a Gospel song just for the fun of it.  Lisa's good friend Melody Rockufeler joined her in a duet as well.  It took her a couple of years to complete this project because she was also in the process of having babies. In fact, she recorded this project when she was very pregnant with her youngest son Daniel. 

The title of this CD describes Lisa's desire to give all the glory and praise to God. She wants her talent to be used as a tool for bringing hope and encouragement to a troubled world so that others can know and feel God's love as she does.

Lisa  had the opportunity to sing for a Dakota women's retreat in Bismarck, ND September 2007.  And in May 2008 she sang for a Kansas/Nebraska camp meeting in Lincoln, NE.  She's sung for several churches in the Kansas City area this year.
